Our Purpose and Vision

Our Vision:
To bring the good news of the forgivness of sin and the gift of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ, and to contribute to spiritual growth by teaching and counseling with the Word of God.

Colosians 1:28
We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.

Short History of the Mission of El-Shadai

The name El-Shadai is inspired from Genesis 17, when God made Himself known for the first time to Abraham, promising him a son. El-Shadai means – Almighty God – The One who gives Himself to mankind. This name presents God as the One who gives material and spiritual blessings, whose grace is all-sufficient and whose power is made perfect in weakness.

How Did it Start?
This name of God –El Shadai- represents very well our organization. It started in the year 2000 with a tent camp in the village of Boghiceni, a cart with horses as a mean of transportation and $ 7.5. The food and the rest of the necessary things had been offered by the local church, the town hall, a village farm, and other churches and missions. Seventy four people came to the camp and twenty four of them made the decision to follow Christ. Through this God encouraged the leaders of this camp to continue the work. El-Shadai was born because a young family, Nicolae and Svetlana Sili had the courage and the strength to choose God’s promting, to walk by faith instead of having a comfortable and quiet life. People’s desperate need for God and the passion for serving others are the values at the foundation of this ministry.

The Foundation of Our Faith

We believe in One true God: Genesis 1:1; Exodus 3:14; Isaiah 43:10-11
We believe that there is only one God who made Himself known as ‚I AM’, the Creator of heavens and earth.

In Jesus Christ: Col 1:15-22; 1 Tes. 4:16; 1 Peter 3:18
We believe that Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God, and that in Him „all the fullness if the Deity lives in bodily form.” We believe in His virgin birth, in His righteous life, in His death on the cross as a substitute for our sins, in His resurection from the dead, in His work in heaven as a Mediator between God and man, and in His imminent return.

In the Holy Spirit: John 14:16; Rom.8:14,16; Eph. 1:13; Fil.1:6; Fil.2:13
We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts man of sin, regenerates him, lives inside the Christians, frees them of the bondage of sin, sanctifies them, and empowers them to live a holy life and to serve. We believe that God works in us „to will and to act according to His good purpose.” And that He who began a good work in us „will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Trinity: Gen. 1:26; John 1:14, 15:26, 17:21; Eph.4:4-6
We believe in the unity and trinity of God who is in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three persons represent the Only God having the same nature, attributes, and perfection.

Man: Gen. 1:27; 2:22; Rom: 3:23; Heb. 9:27; Rom. 5:12
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but has been separated from God because of sin and he needs to be judjed; that only by the blood of Christ and through the regeneration of the Holy Spirit salvation and a regenerated life can be obtained.

Salvation: Efes. 2:8-10; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; John 1: 12
We believe in salvation through grace, an unmeritted gift of God that cannot be obtained by good works. Salvation comes through repentance, a turn around from a sinful ways to the way of God, by accepting Jesus Christ as a personal Savior and Lord, through faith.

Scriptures: 2 Tim. 3:15-17; 2 Peter 1: 19-21
We believe that both the Old and New Testament reprezent the Holy Scriptures and are the Word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is the revelation of God to men, the supreme and final authority for life and faith.

Our Basic Values

Obedience
As Jesus was obedient to the Father- so we are obedient to the Word – for a holy life.

Positive Outlook
As God through the cross sees only what is good in us, the same way we, in every situation try to see the best in the people around us.

Acceptance
As we made peace with God through His Son, so we don’t discriminate people for reasons of race, denominations or gender.

Service in the Team
The leadership role is given to the members who are humble and dedicated to sustain the goles of the organization.

Children
Our priority is to establish strong relationships of friendship with the children, through which, later, they can be led to Christ.

Mentoring and Discipleship
We promote the spiritual formation of eficient leaders through the means of camps for leaders, group-Bible studies, participation in the Inductive Bible Institute and long term relationships based on mutual trust and brotherly love.

Evangelization
Passion for friendship with the non-Christians with the purpose to lead them to Christ.

Team
I am ready to submit to the rules and standards of the team and at the same time I am an active participant working and fighting for perfect unity.

Maximum dedication for the puprpose and vison of the team, being a good steward of what God entrusted me with.
